Samsung unveiled its 85-inch S9 Ultra HDTV along with 95-, and 110-inch models at last week’s Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Nevada. Now the electronics manufacturer has started taking pre-orders for the 85-inch model in South Korea, with no word on a release date in the United States.
The 4K, quad-core Ultra HDTV will be priced at 40,000,000 won ($37,877 USD). The Ultra HDTV also features Precision Black Pro technology, and built-in 3-way 2.2 channel 120 watt speakers. The company also states that it is working with streaming media provider Netflix, to bring 4K content to your living room.
Last year, LG began selling their Ultra HDTV at $20,000, and Sony at $25,000, making Samsung one of the most expensive Ultra HDTV’s so far.
Samsung is expected to ship the 95-, and 110-inch models later this year, with a higher price tag of course.
