LG has already sold 300 Ultra HDTV’s at $22,000 each

According to Korean news site Chosun Ilbo, LG has has already sold 300 Ultra HDTV’s at $22,000 USD each ($6.6 million total).

These early adopters could have purchased 4 separate non-Ultra HD TV’s, but instead chose to pursue perfect 3,840 x 2,160 picture quality with Cinema 3D technology and integrated 2.2 channel speakers.

Other manufacturers aren’t much cheaper, with Samsung’s 85-inch Ultra HDTV at $37,872, Sony’s 84-inch XBR-84X900 Ultra HDTV at $25,000, or the Westinghouse custom-order 110-inch Ultra HDTV for only $300,000.
